Just Accept It.

It's the message that has just been on my heart all day. Grace. It started when I read this scripture this morning:
"We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into THIS GRACE in which we now STAND."- Romans 5:1-2
I know I haven't written in awhile. I've been dealing with a lot internally. Sometimes we carry so many burdens and expectations for ourselves, it's easy to feel like a failure. It's easy to feel as if we can't measure up to the person we feel like we should be in Christ.

Ladies and gentlemen, let me just say. Christ took you when you were broken and lost, he's not giving you up now.

It's one thing to buy a brand new watch, only to have it break a few days later. It's another thing to buy a broken watch, knowing all of it's fallacies, and deciding to renovate it into an entirely new beauty. Of course it doesn't work. Of course the big hand won't move. Of course the glass is cracked. You saw that when you bought it. But your plans for that watch are bigger, better, and more beautiful than anyone can ever imagine.

So it is with our God. He knows were messed up, but that doesn't mean he's just giving up. He has a plan to make us beautiful. He bought us with his precious son, and he's turning us into a new creation with his holy spirit.

What did we do to deserve this new makeover?

Nothing

That is the sweet word being whispered through our sweet saviors lips. You did nothing. You did nothing to deserve his love, his time, his care. And guess what, you can do nothing to lose it. It's "into this grace in which we now STAND" where we find our security.

Do not let Satan, the brilliant deceiver, tell you otherwise.
Man up, accept the grace the father is offering you. Accept it every morning, accept it at every failure, accept it in your sorrows, accept it in your joys, accept it.

Grace, oh sweet grace.
The gift that is never refused.
